Most often this type of work is done on a system that was working properly in the past and no longer works. This can be caused by viruses, failed hardware or software, or any number of routine computing and networking problems. Generally technical assistance of this type is a short term or one time project that includes repairing damaged systems and doing data recovery if needed. Most often this is done on an hourly basis and most problems take little time to correct.
